Engineering
From the operation to the circuit board, and back to the people who run it.
Industrial sites have equipment that works and data nobody trusts. We design the hardware and software that close that gap, as one system.
How a product comes together
Four steps, one team.
- 01
Learn the operation
We start on site: the equipment, the conditions, the controllers already installed and the people who answer for the result.
- 02
Design the board
Schematics, PCB layout and embedded firmware for the sensors and controllers the product has to read and run.
- 03
Prove it in the field
Prototypes are brought up, tested and run on a real site with our partner before anything is built at scale.
- 04
Deploy and support
Edge systems go in with the partner who services the site, and the software turns their readings into records and alerts.
What we design
Every layer, from the sensor to the report.
- Circuit boards and firmware. Custom PCBs and embedded firmware, designed for the sensors, controllers and conditions of the job.
- Edge systems. Devices and gateways on site that read PLCs, meters and sensors and carry their data to the cloud.
- Software. Applications, reports, alerts and integrations for the people accountable for the operation.
How we work
Three rules we build by.
- 01
Design the whole stack together
Circuit board, firmware, edge and software are designed as one system, so the reading taken in the field is the number people act on.
- 02
Work with what is installed
Our products read the PLCs, meters and sensors already on site. Nobody should have to replace working equipment to get good data from it.
- 03
Build with the operators
Each product line is built with a partner who runs the operation or services it in the field. For RYDM, that is CWI Railroad System Specialists.
Build the next product line with us.
If your operation needs custom hardware and software to be measured and run well, or you want RYDM at a rail yard, send us a note and we will reply.
